For the Chicken Rissoles Mixture
- 500g ground chicken mince (lean chicken mince)
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but adds flavor)
- 1 medium carrot, grated
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh chives or green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil (to brush before air frying)
Optional Add-ins
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella for cheesy chicken rissoles
- 1 tsp chili flakes for spicy chicken rissoles
🔥 How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Rissoles
1. Prepare the Chicken Rissoles Mixture
In a large mixing bowl combine:
- ground chicken mince
- onion
- garlic
- egg
- breadcrumbs
- Parmesan
- carrot
- parsley
- chives
- all seasonings
Mix well with your hands until fully combined and sticky.
2. Shape the Rissoles
- Scoop portions of the mixture and form round rissoles or patties, about 2–3 inches wide.
- Place them on a plate or tray.
- Lightly brush each rissole with olive oil to help crisping in the air fryer.
3. Preheat the Air Fryer
- Set air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3 minutes.
4. Air Fry the Chicken Rissoles
- Arrange the rissoles in one single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 10 minutes.
- Flip the rissoles.
- Air fry for another 6–8 minutes or until:
- golden brown
- crispy on the outside
- internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F)
5. Serve
Serve hot with:
