- ½ tsp nutmeg (optional)
For Topping
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- Fresh parsley for garnish
1. Prepare the Chicken
- Lay the sliced chicken breasts on a board.
- Season both sides with:
- salt
- pepper
- paprika
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- Drizzle with olive oil and set aside.
2. Make the Filling
- In a bowl, mix together:
- cream cheese
- mozzarella
- cheddar
- parsley
- spring onion
- salt
- garlic powder
- Mix until creamy and fully combined.
3. Roll the Chicken
- Place a spoonful of the creamy filling on each chicken slice.
- Roll tightly from one end to the other.
- Place seam-side down into a greased baking dish.
4. Prepare the Creamy Cheese Sauce
- In a saucepan, melt butter.
- Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.
- Slowly add milk and heavy cream while whisking.
- Add:
- mozzarella
- parmesan
- salt
- pepper
- nutmeg (optional)
- Simmer until thick and smooth.
5. Assemble the Dish
- Pour the creamy cheese sauce evenly over the chicken roll-ups.
- Sprinkle mozzarella on top.
6. Bake
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 30–40 minutes,
or until the chicken is fully cooked and the top is golden and bubbly.
7. Garnish & Serve
- Top with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot with:
