Creamy Milk Cake

🥛 Creamy Milk Cake Recipe (Baked Milk Pudding / Sütlü Tatlı)

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup melted butter (unsalted)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder

For Topping (Optional):

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Drizzle of sweetened condensed milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: to 180°C (350°F). Grease a medium-sized baking dish with butter.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Gradually add flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until no lumps remain.
  4. Add milk: Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously to create a smooth, thin batter.
  5. Bake: Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool & serve: Let it cool to room temperature, then chill for at least 1–2 hours before slicing.
  7. Garnish: Dust with powdered sugar, a pinch of cinnamon, or drizzle condensed milk before serving.

Tips:

  • Use fresh whole milk for a rich, creamy texture.
  • For extra flavor, add a bit of lemon zest or rose water.
  • Best served cold or slightly warm.
