How to Make Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes

Meatballs & Gravy

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef or pork (or mix)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

1/4 cup milk

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt & pepper to taste

2 tbsp oil (for frying)

Gravy:

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp flour

2 cups beef broth

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Worcestershire sauce or onion powder

Instructions:

Mix and shape meatball ingredients into 1-inch balls.
Brown meatballs in oil until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, melt butter, stir in flour to form a roux.
Slowly add beef broth, whisking until smooth and thickened. Season.
Add meatballs back to the pan and simmer 5–10 minutes.
Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup butter

Salt to taste

Instructions:

Boil potatoes in salted water until tender.
Drain and mash with butter and milk. Season.
Carrots & Peas

Instructions:

Steam or boil baby carrots until tender. Add a bit of butter and black pepper.

Boil or steam green peas until tender. Season with salt or butter.
